The all-new Ford Transit 2″ Suspension Lift Kit “Trail Hero” is the ultimate suspension upgrade available. Whether you have the 2WD, AWD or Transit Trail this suspension package will maximize your vehicles capability and ride comfort.

Let’s start with the front suspension. The WeldTec Designs “Trail Hero” suspension Lift Kit is going to gain you 2″ of lift. When it came to designing this kit, we knew we wanted more articulation from the lower control arms. In order to accomplish this, we designed a new lower control arm, which uses a 3/4 heim to allow for 10″ of articulation. The main features of the WeldTec Designs Lower Control Arm is 1.5 degrees of camber adjustment along with the Gen 3 version which features in-line caster adjustment. The unibody design is inherently weak and the rear LCA pivot bolt is single shear to combat that, we designed a LCA Support Bracket which bolts into the factory mounting holes. This LCA support bracket makes the main pivot bolt double shear reinforcing multiple points in the unibody for additional support. To finish this off it was only natural that we went with the best shock option on the market, King Shocks. This coilover strut allows for multiple option when it comes to spring rates, valving and height adjustability, with the biggest giving you quick adjustments capability with 20 stages of compression at your finger tips. These shocks are fully rebuildable, which means they should last the life of your van.

Moving on to the rear suspension. We did what we do best, by matching your vehicle weight and height to the spring rate required to give you the best ride possible by using our rear progressive leaf springs. No matter what terrain you decide to use your Ford Transit, our 2.5 King Shock with Remote Reservoir and Compression Adjuster is going to handle whatever you throw at it. This is the largest diameter shock available on the market for the Ford Transit, maximizing ride control through valving and adjustability right at your fingertips. Running a bigger shock creates the need for stronger mounting points, so we added an upper support bracket with reservoir mounts. On the lower mount we increased ground clearance by moving the shock pivot higher with our WTD high clearance shock mounts.

What does all of this technical information mean? You now have more ground clearance with the ability to run up to a 265x75x16 (trimming is necessary to fit) tire for your next adventure. The “Trail Hero” is the ultimate suspension lift kit available for your 2WD, AWD or Transit Trail.

Tire sizes vary between manufactures and this kit does REQUIRE trimming the lower front bumper as well as the pinch weld and plastic on the door side. At full steering lock the wheel may rub the sub frame which can be eliminated by running a 3/16 thick wheel spacer.

*Transit Trail/QLift Note: Our 2.5 King Coilover will replace the front factory 2″ spacers, as well as the ability to add 1″ of pre-load to the coilover shock giving you and additional 1″ of lift.  Our progressive leaf springs will replace the rear factory 2″ blocks.

*All Other Manufacturer’s Lift Kit Note: You cannot add pre-load to the coilover to achieve more lift. Doing so will result in damage of other components.
