Step-by-Step Installation Guide
Here’s how easy it is to swap out your old chrome headlights for sleek blackout ones:
- Open the Hood: Use your vehicle keys to pop the hood.
- Locate the Bolts: Find the two bolts at the bottom of the headlight assembly. Use the 7mm socket to remove them. Don’t worry if they fall—they usually land right on the ground.
- Remove the Top Bolt: Switch to the 8mm socket to remove the bolt at the top corner of the headlight.
- Detach the Headlight: Once the bolts are out, gently tug on the headlight to release the compression clip at the back. Be careful, as it might require a little extra effort.
- Unplug the Lights: Disconnect the wires by removing the clips at the back of the headlight. If the clips are stubborn, twist the bulb assembly to remove it completely for easier access.
- Prepare the New Headlight: Peel back the plastic covering the new headlight to prevent scratches during installation.
- Plug and Play: Connect the wiring harness to the new headlight. It’s a direct plug-and-play connection, so no extra adapters are needed.
- Install the New Headlight: Align the dowel on the back of the headlight with the corresponding hole and push it into place. Secure it with the bolts you removed earlier.
- Peel Off the Plastic: Once the headlight is firmly installed, remove the rest of the protective plastic covering.
